After graduating from Biola University with a degree in Christian Education Ministries JECHS Alumna, Kellee Thompson (Class of ‘01) is now working for a ministry called the California School Project.
The California School Project’s mission is to “Help promote God, the Bible, and Prayer in California public schools”. Their objective is to mentor high-impact Christian students, teachers, parents, churches and organizations in having positive and legally appropriate active Christian presence on their local campuses. They come along side them and help them construct and achieve their outreach objectives and goals on their campuses.
Kellee has several roles within CSP. She helps to run the CSP office, recruits and trains campus mentors and directs HomeTown Trips to help establish sel-sustaining high school movements throughout California. This past January Kellee was able to come back to her home in Calaveras County where she helped the local Christian high school clubs and community churches reach students for Christ. She also headed up teams who went to Amador and Contra Costa Counties. The result? They held 23 rallies at six high schools and led 10 witnessing outings. Over 3,100 students heard the gospel and 22 students accepted Christ. Kellee commented on this experience – “God rocked my world and showed me the power of communities coming together to impact a campus”.
We at JECHS are so excited to see our graduates fulfilling our mission of going out and impacting the world for Jesus Christ. Please join us in praying for Kellee and the ministry of California Schools Project.
