JECHS Students Bring Home Awards from ACSI Speech Meet

On Tuesday March 31 Jim Elliot sent eight students to the ACSI District Speech Meet in Fremont, California where all eight students were award winners bringing home multiple ribbons and medals!

Kaylie Rosenzweig and Daniel Aartman – Duet Acting
Kaylie Rosenzweig – Original Oratory – Silver medal
Daniel Aartman – Devotional Homiletics – Silver medal
Michael Nunez – Extemporaneous Speaking
Michael Nunez – Impromptu Speaking – Bronze medal
Anthony Galletta – Extemporaneous Speaking
Ana Martinez – Devotional Homiletics – Gold medal
Cierra Tunquist – Impromptu Speaking – Gold medal
Travis Dodd – Devotional Homiletics – Silver medal
Ana Martinez, Cierra Tunquist, Casee Robinson – Readers Theater – Bronze medal
Casee Robinson – Original Oratory – Silver medal

Led by their speech coach, Sherrolyn Elmore, these students did an amazing job in this competition. Of special note is Senior, Travis Dodd who had his third consecutive year of award winning performances at this annual Speech Meet.  Congratulations to each of these talented students who represented JECHS with such excellence.
