Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is an opportunity for friends and family of Jim Elliot Christian High School to enrich and enhance the academic, fine arts, technology and athletic programs of the school.  Furthermore, a significant portion of the annual fund will be designated to ensure we are able to recruit and retain top-notch teachers and coaches as well as providing financial aid for students.

Please join others in the JECHS family in supporting the Annual Fund with your tax-deductible gift.  Your gift is an endorsement of the mission of Jim Elliot Christian High School and will assist us in achieving excellence and having a school that glorifies God in everything!  You can donate securely online here.

Most commonly asked questions about the Annual Fund?

Q: Who gives to the Annual Fund?

A: The Annual Fund is supported by a variety of school constituents, including parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni families, board members, foundations, friends, faculty, and future Elliot Eagles. Our goal is to have 100% of our board members, staff and parents participate in the annual fund.

Q: When and how will I be asked to make a contribution?

A: In the fall, each JECHS family receives information explaining the Annual Fund and the Goal for the year. Your contribution to Annual Fund may be paid via check or credit card. You may donate on line, in person or through themail. You may also make a pledge, which may be paid in installments.

Q: If I make a pledge, when will I be expected to pay my pledge?

A: You may “pledge now, pay later”. Pledges must be paid before the end of the fiscal year, July 31. You may pay in installments. Pledges may be paid on a semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly basis.

Q: I can’t give as much as I’d like to, my gift really wouldn’t make a difference, would it?

A: Yes! Every gift of every size is important to Jim Elliot Christian High School and to our students. Your contribution at any level demonstrates your support of JECHS and its ministry. Your participation and the amount of total parent participation demonstrate broad based support to the community at large and to foundations and corporations who are considering making contributions to Elliot.

Q: I already pay a lot in tuition – why should I give more?

A: Tuition does not cover all of the annual cost of educating students.  Like most independent schools, colleges and universities,  JECHS must rely on the Annual Fund and income from investments to help provide program enhancements and bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of operating our school with excellence.

Q: What is a matching gift?

A: Matching gifts are often available from employer’s matching gift programs. Please take the time to ask the Human Resources Office at your place of employment if your employer participates in a matching gift program.

Q: What is a stock gift?

A: Gifts of common stock can be donated at anytime, allowing the donor to receive the fair market value of appreciated securities at the time the gift is made, while avoiding capital gains tax in the appreciated value of the stock.

Q: Do you accept gifts of property and are there other ways to give?

A: Gifts of property can be donated at anytime. There are other options that can be explored and we encourage you to contact your personal financial advisors for more information. These options include tax exempt IRA withdrawals and deferred gifts such as bequests, life income plans, and life insurance.
