What’s Being Said

”Jim Elliot is not only a place where students learn academically, but more importantly mature in their walk as young Christians.  They will grow emotionally and physically and join a family not simply receive an education.  Everyone on the staff is committed to seeing the teens grow and to be an impact on the community.  Everyone from administration, teachers, staff and coaches truly do care about their growth and their lives!

” Why should I stay at Jim Elliot you ask? Well, there are many reasons, so I will tell you…Jim Elliot is the best Christian school I have ever been at. They aren’t just “fake” about Christ they REALLY actually love Him and want us to draw near to Him. That is exactly what I am doing. Ever since I have been there, my relationship with God has grown greater than it has EVER been. I actually get excited to learn about Him! There is something about this school that makes you want to get up in the morning and go. There is a presence there that overflows with the love of God.”

Eliya Hooks   Junior at JECHS

“What an incredible school! What an incredible staff! What an incredible Jesus we serve!  Christ is the foundation these teachers are teaching on and from. Whether from Math, Science or English, Christ is the reason and existing force for all that is.  It is also evident that these teachers care deeply for the ‘flock” of children God has brought to them.”

“I want to thank you so much for the wonderful education I got at Elliot both mentally and spiritually.  I really didn’t appreciate everything at Elliot until I went to college. I felt like I would not have survived educationally or spiritually had it not been for my wonderful teachers at Elliot. It is truly the best Christian school out there.”

Julie Jackson  JECHS Class of ‘06

“I have always loved the school, and yet I am just amazed that every-time I turn around there is another conviction of what God is doing there. It’s not just about grades. It’s not just about sports. It is about the whole package of the ultimate calling that we have through out our lives.

“I want to provide as many leadership opportunities for students as possible, and involve them in a lifelong quest of joy in serving the Lord.  Developing a ministry mindset in the lives of students is my passion.  It is vital to help them have a Biblical Worldview and apply that to daily living.”

“I am about to head into my second year in college. While I would not trade this time in my life for anything, I am realizing more and more how high school did impact my life. Especially the teachers and faculty at JECHS. Each teacher has really impacted me in a different way. They have all become dear to my heart and I miss them greatly throughout my school year.”

“It is my sincerest wish to thank you, your students, coaches and spectators for a very pleasant athletic competition last night in our gym.  Although the scoreboard did not reflect this, your players are winners in every way!  You should be proud of of the behavior and attitude that was displayed on the court and in the stands for Jim Elliot Christian High School.”

  1. I want to provide some insight here. Jim Elliot is a wonderful place to work. The students here are polite and respectful and enjoy being here. When I first began working here some of the students took me under their wing and showed me the ropes of the high school. Where else can a teacher begin work and be immediately accepted into the “family”? Elliot is where. The staff here are so supportive of each other and their families. I recently just had a son and the staffs prayers were definetly felt. When I came back to work everyone was and is still very supportive and loving to my new family. It is just an awesome place to work. I just love teaching Art and Music here and don’t know if I can ever go anywhere else. Jim Elliot Christian High School is a blessed place to attend.

  2. As a substitute teacher for public schools these past two years, after substituting at Jim Elliot yesterday, I was refreshed and AMAZED.

Not only were there zero discipline or disrespect issues, students looked me in the eye, thanked me for subbing, opened the doors for me, and the boys (P.E. class) wouldn’t allow me to carry the equipment. In my field of work, I am so used to being ignored, disrespected and challenged by young people that I forgot how much promise and potential they have.

Good job to the parents of JECHS students, and to the staff, I say: Count your blessings everyday, and never leave Jim Elliot.
